If those activities weren’t enough, the beach is usually buzzing with the game of matkot (a popular sport for Israelis), and the millennials hard at play enjoying volleyball on the beach. The Chef is in at Frishman Beach
Tel Avivians and tourists love the chef restaurant culture that has swept up the city and other parts of Israel in the last few years. Now it’s coming to the beach! The new Calypso restaurant that is in transition at Frishman beach is set to officially reopen with its new name and it’s famous chef in early July. Omer Miller is planning to bring a Middle Eastern flavor to the beach with lots of olive oil, fresh fish, fresh veggies and more–and a charcoal grill. The temporary menu in the meantime has range of salads, fish, meat and appetizers. This will be the foodie beach. The vibe on the beach may not change much since it attracts a sophisticated crowd that likes good food, wine and a nice place to sit and soak up the sun. Parlez-vous français at La Mer on Bograshov Beach?
Just five minutes from your hotel in Tel Aviv is a beautiful beach that is not only popular among tourists and locals, but it also attracts a large French-speaking crowd. If you want to brush up on your French it’s a great place to spend the day. The beach attracts all ages, and especially appeals to families. Kids love this beach because there is plenty of space to play in the sand and frolic in the sea. It’s a cozy beach and a great option for those who are looking for typical beach food like fries, burgers, sandwiches, various food platters, meat and fish, and a varied children’s menu.
We go Bananas for Banana Beach
This is a nice quiet beach, and a great place to enjoy the Tel Aviv beach experience if you are looking for a mellow day. Although it is always packed like the other beaches, it is the quietest of the four. Although breakfast at your hotel is complimentary this a great breakfast or brunch beach. With all kinds of breakfasts with eggs (European, Druze, Israeli and Mediterranean) and a Belgian waffle, croissant and other pastries to have with coffee, this is a breakfast dream! Of course their lunch and dinner is also a delicious option with a varied choice for all tastes and preferences. It is the only one of the four we reviewed that is south of your hotel in Tel Aviv. It is also the closest. You can reach it In under five minutes on foot. Just look for the yellow umbrellas and you will easily find the beach.
