Running

Why spend mindless hours on a treadmill when you can take to the streets for your daily run? Do as the locals and hit up the beautifully restored boardwalk that runs outside our hotel entrance (literally) and stretches from Jaffa in the south to the Tel Aviv port and onwards in the northern end of the city. Run, jog, power walk or simply stroll along the crisp blue Mediterranean, and why not finish with a quick dip in the sea before heading back to the cool comforts of your very own lobby where plush sofas and complimentary ice-coffee awaits your return.

Israelis loves to surf and it is easy to see the appeal. Great exercise, spending time at the beach and the mindfulness and stress relieve that comes from living in the moment and only focus on the next great wave, what is not to love? While the pros usually spend their summers dreaming of far away shorelines with bigger waves like Australia or Hawaii the calmer waters off the Tel Aviv coast is the perfect urban playground for beginners trying to get the hang of this intuitive sport and there are plenty of options to rent boards and book a class or two with an instructor to make the most of your time spent in the waters.

 

TRX- Suspension Training

The latest craze to build muscles and create that desired lean physique can be practiced almost everywhere. Usually done in groups lead by a trainer, all that is needed is the elastic bands and your own body weight for a functional and challenging fitness experience.

If there is one physical activity that everybody in Tel Aviv seems to be engrossed in that would be yoga.
