A White Weekend in Tel Aviv: Hotel, the Beach and the Yummiest Holiday of the Year
Shavuot is nearly upon us and this is the perfect time to arrive in Tel Aviv and enjoy the sun, the beach and the Tel Avivian version of the Shavuot parade! There are many attractions and events you and your kids can enjoy, so here are our recommendations for the coming Shavuot holiday in the white city.
Shavuot Parade in Hachava
Luckily, the colorful Shavuot parade is no longer held only in the Kibbutzim or Moshavim. During this Shavuot holiday you can spend the night in a cozy hotel room in Tel Aviv and in the morning, take the kids to experience nature and tradition in Hachava (the farm). In addition to the lively parade, in Hachava you can also enjoy a cheese making workshop, a bread making workshop, solar cooking in nature and much more.

Shabbat Tarbut (Shabbat of culture) in The Nahum Gutman Museum of Art
Visit the kibbutz… in Tel Aviv. The Nahum Gutman Museum of Art, one of the most respected art museums in Tel Aviv, offers a unique cultural experience for the entire family. Here, you can enjoy the different exhibitions as well as the Creation in White workshop and a photo booth with a Kibbutz backdrop. This is our recommendation for a family outing, right after you’ve had your tasty breakfast at the hotel, of course.

Tel Aviv Port Market
Since Shavuot is the culinary world’s favorite holiday, during your stay in Tel Aviv you can visit the Port Market, which was the first farmer’s market in Israel. Here, you can find the very best produce, cheese and other local specialty foods, which you can take with you for a perfect picnic in the nearby Hayarkon park.

The Best Deli in Tel Aviv
Another hotspot in Tel Aviv, especially during the Shavuot holiday, is the Basher Fromagerie – a European deli that offers the largest selection of cheese in Israel. Over 1,000 types of cheese await you here, as well as fine wines and other delicacies. The Tel Aviv branch of the Basher Fromagerie is closed on Saturdays, so we highly recommend you visit the deli on either Thursday or Friday, and pay a visit to the colorful and lively Sarona market while you’re there.

A Family Suite by the Sea in Tel Aviv
Shavuot is the perfect opportunity to spend some quality family time in Tel Aviv. Staying at the Sea Executive Suites boutique hotel, located within a 1 minute walk to the beach, will allow you to enjoy all the Shavuot holiday attractions and enjoy a dip in the sea in between activities. You can stay in a large and spacious family suite that offers two bedrooms, soft queen size beds, a fully equipped kitchen and an Israeli breakfast served daily in the hotel dining area. Plus, during Shavuot you can enjoy an array of cheeses, pastries and gourmet meals that are made with high quality ingredients. You can also treat yourself to the Finnish sauna, or enjoy the private gym area and the cozy nooks on our spacious rooftop, which looks over the Mediterranean Sea and the city.
