If you never took your kids to the Orna Porat Theater for Children and Youth, you must do so in Sukkot! The Yaron Festival is coming to the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, offering a cultural experience that includes game stalls, creative spaces, street artists and of course – enchanting, delightful and high quality children’s plays.

The Mediterranean

The holiday season is the perfect time to enjoy the beach. The water is still warm, the breeze is refreshing and the weather is perfect for tanning without sweating too much. We recommend you go down to Trumpeldor Beach, which is within walking distance from our hotel, with a good book, chilled bottle of beer and paddle ball set (matkot) so you can fit right in with the locals. Another must-visit place during your family vacation in the city is the Nachalat Binyamin Craft Market that operates on Tuesdays and Fridays. You can walk around this colorful pedestrian zone surrounded by arts and crafts created by the best of the country’s artisans and buy yourselves locally made, handcrafted souvenirs. While you’re there, you can also enjoy the street artists and spontaneous performances and even visit the nearby HaCarmel Market for some snacks.

Bike Ride in Old Jaffa

There are Tel-O-Fan stations spread all over the city, just waiting for you and the kids to tour the city on wheels! For an especially experiential day, we recommend you ride to the boardwalk until you reach Old Jaffa, where the annual Jaffa Festival for Children’s Performances takes place. There, the entire family can enjoy Bi-lingual plays in Hebrew and Arabic, non-verbal plays, outdoor musical performances, acrobatic shows, workshops and more.

An Active Picnic In Menachem Begin Park

Begin Park is sort of the younger brother of HaYarkon Park. It has vast lawns, cozy sitting areas, lakes and the cherry on the cake: a water ski site called Lake TLV – the only one of its kind in Israel and one of the largest in the world. There, you can enjoy extreme sports for all ages.
