The summer season in Tel Aviv is nearly over, and there is nothing like a luxurious vacation in a hotel in Tel Aviv to close the season with a sweet taste! A holiday in Tel Aviv during the last weeks of summer will still include sun, sea, restaurants and all the great things that summer offers … like ice cream, all day and every day!

Saying goodbye to summer is a difficult thing for most of us, and to be fair, a holiday in Tel Aviv during autumn is, relatively still classed as summer, due to the great weather. Anyway, as ice cream addicts ourselves, we noticed that our hotel guests usually search for quality ice cream and we decided what better than to list the best five ice cream parlors that are definitely worth a visit during your stay in Tel Aviv! Some, by the way, are completely new.

1. Cremerie De L’Éclair – When France Joins Forces with Italy

Heavenly, fattening and the perfectly photo! An exact definition of everything that you can indulge in at this ice cream parlor. All the classic French pastries (croissants, profiteroles, macaroons and more), all served with Italian or American ice cream. One might think of it as a unique hot and cold sandwich, where during the first bite, the hot pastry fills the palate followed a second later by cold ice cream, perfectly balancing the mixture of scrumptious tastes. As previously mentioned, this is definitely not the place to visit if you are counting your calories, but if you cannot resist a visit, a walk back to your hotel in Tel Aviv is highly recommended!

2. Leggenda – Legendary Italian Ice Cream and Refreshing Yoghurt

Belonging to a successful chain of ice-cream parlors in Israel that opened up over a decade ago. The unparalleled success is without a doubt down to the owner’s research, in the world’s capital of ice cream, Italy! Fresh ice cream, made daily, with a superb choice of familiar flavors, new surprising tastes and a variety of unexpected combinations. By the way, if you prefer not to walk back to your Tel Aviv hotel this time, you can opt for the equally delicious and refreshing frozen yoghurt crisps with fresh fruit and assorted toppings (some vegan!).

3. Arte – Add an Italian Flavour to Your Vacation!

Marco Camoralli, owner of Arte ice cream parlor, was a diver. During one of his trips, he tried his hand at making ice cream, which immediately re-connected him with his Italian roots! Camoralli is a graduate of the Italian Ice Cream Academy (yes, there is one) and even won the prestigious Art Cake Award for a special ice cream flavour he invented using cottage cheese! His ice-cream parlor is truly a magical place serving a variety of delicious homemade ice creams made with fresh (and mostly organic) ingredients only. You can also taste ‘Granita’ made according to the traditional Naples method, and even watch the entire production process.

4. Buza- Tarshiha – Straight from the North to Tel Aviv, Near the Hotel!

Here, too, lies a beautiful story, this time about a ‘kibbutznik’ guy who dreamed of locally producing Galilean ice cream. He found a partner from the nearby village of Tarshiha, and together, the two established their ice cream parlor in Galilee. Fortunately, they decided to open an additional and very impressive branch here, just 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel in Tel Aviv. If you are wondering what we recommend, it is easy, Cashiuppa! A combination of cashews with salty toffee.

5. Anita – The Cinderella of Ice Cream

Anita’s ice cream parlors are already scattered in Australia and New York, however the successful chain has an intriguing and romantic past that resembles a Cinderella story. It all began almost two decades ago, Anita’s son, Nir, brought a small homemade ice cream machine to their home. First they prepared ice cream for themselves, later they sold ice cream from small street cart on Fridays and finally they moved from Netanya to Tel Aviv where they opened their small and modest first branch………and the rest is history!!!!! Anita’s ice cream bases are used in almost 50% of the ice cream parlors in Israel, but there is no doubt that you really must taste the real thing! There is no need to go as far as New York or Australia ……all you have to do it book a hotel in Tel Aviv
